Automatic Instagram import

You post on Instagram. Your portfolio updates itself.

Automatic import checks your profile once a day and adds newly published posts to your creea.art portfolio. You pick a category, the photos land in your gallery with their Instagram caption, and the files stay on our server — even after you delete the post. You publish in one place and show up in two.

No payment card needed. You connect Instagram from your panel after signing in.

What the import actually does

New posts once a day

The daily run looks at your 25 most recent posts and adds the ones published after you switched the option on. You click nothing.

You choose the archive yourself

Older photos are picked by hand in the panel, each with its own category. The automatic run never reaches back before the day you enabled it.

The caption becomes the description

Your Instagram caption is copied into the photo description (up to 1000 characters). You can edit it in your portfolio afterwards.

The files stay with you

We copy every image to our own storage. A deleted post or lost access to your Instagram account does not take your portfolio with it.

How to set it up

  1. 1

    Create a creea.art account

Sign up with your email address or your Google account. Signing up is free and needs no payment card.

  2. 2

    Connect Instagram in your panel

In the profile panel, on the Instagram tab, click “Connect account” and authorise access to your photos. A business or creator account is required.

  3. 3

    Import your archive

Select the photos you want in your portfolio and give each one a category. One category can be applied to the whole selection at once.

  4. 4

    Turn automatic import on

Pick the category for new posts and enable the option. From then on every new Instagram photo reaches your portfolio within a day.

Instagram is not the competitor here. It is still the best place to show work as it happens. The import exists so that the same work does not have to be uploaded a second time.

What the import will not do

  • A private account cannot connect. Instagram only exposes photos through its API to business and creator accounts. Switching account type is free and reversible.
  • Video and reels are skipped. The import takes photos and carousels, and from a carousel it takes the cover image.
  • The automatic run does not reach your archive. It only takes posts published after you enabled it — older ones go in through the manual import.
  • Automatically imported photos all land in one category, the one you chose when enabling it. You can change the category of an individual work later.
  • The public feed shows at most 3 new works per author per day, so one active account cannot take over the whole first page.
  • Instagram authorisation expires. We refresh it automatically, but after a long break the account has to be connected again — the panel says so when that happens.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a business account on Instagram?

Yes. Instagram only exposes photos through its API to business and creator accounts. Switching account type is free, takes a moment in Instagram settings, and can be undone.

Does the import delete or move my Instagram photos?

No. The post stays on Instagram untouched. A copy of the file goes into your portfolio and your Instagram account keeps working exactly as before.

What happens to imported work if I disconnect?

Imported photos stay in your portfolio. Disconnecting only turns off the automatic import and our access to your Instagram.

Can the same photo be imported twice?

No. Every imported work stores the id of its Instagram post, so a repeat import is skipped — including when you added the photo manually first.

How quickly does a new post reach my portfolio?

We check profiles once a day, so within 24 hours at most. In the public feed the works appear gradually, at most 3 per author per day.

Can I sign in to creea.art with Instagram?

No. Sign-in works with an email address or a Google account. Instagram is used only to import photos once you are signed in.

Your photos are already on Instagram. Turn them into a portfolio.

Create a free account, import what you have already published, and switch on automatic import for new posts. Your PDF comp card is generated from the same photos.
